The Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS) is an independent body created by the French government.  it's role is the evaluation of medical procedures, products and techniques, recommendations of "best practice", and the certification of healthcare establishments.

Quality is an integral part of the management of the establishment; it is part of the commitment of the Sainte-Marguerite Establishments in the certification procedure of the Haute Autorité de Santé.  This voluntary certification is an external evaluation procedure allowing an establishment to be awarded a certificate of quality with regard to performance levels determined by the HAS. The implementation of a policy of continuous improvement of healthcare quality and healthcare safety places patients at the center of the care system.

This approach has reinforced the extent of the documentary system within the establishment.  The traceability of procedures and has fostered the involvement of staff in risk prevention, compliance with best-practice and regulatory evolution, and with a consistent interest in improving the quality and safety of patient care.

The last certification visit of the establishment took place from the 13th to 16th October, 2015.  As a result of the elements mentioned in the report resulting from this visit, the Haute Autorité de Santé awarded a grade "A" certification and encouraged the he establishment to continue its quality and risk management approach.
